Best Casino Apps UK (2026): Native Apps, Apple Pay and Fast Payouts Compared
Every UK casino works in a mobile browser. These are the ones whose dedicated iOS and Android apps are actually worth installing, and what to check before you do.

Every UK-licensed casino runs in a phone browser, so an app has to earn its place on your home screen. The ones below do: they are stable, they keep biometric login and card details in one place, and the live-dealer streams hold up on mobile data. We have left out apps that are little more than a web view with a logo.

What makes a casino app good
- Native, not a wrapper. A real app keeps you logged in with Face ID or fingerprint, loads the lobby instantly and does not drop the live stream when you switch apps.
- Payments that fit a phone. Apple Pay and Pay by Bank mean no card numbers typed on a small screen. Remember that withdrawals always go back to the funding card or bank account.
- Safer-gambling tools one tap away. Deposit limits, time-outs and reality checks must be as easy to reach as the deposit button. Every app here passes that test because the UKGC requires it.
- Honest notifications. You should be able to switch promotional pushes off separately from account alerts. Do that on first launch.
- Battery and data. Live roulette streams use roughly 1 GB an hour at HD. The better apps let you drop the quality.
The apps in detail
LeoVegas
LeoVegas was built as a mobile-first casino and the app still shows it: the lobby is fast, search is excellent and the 200+ live tables stream cleanly. The welcome offer is modest but clean, 50 wager-free spins after wagering £10, so you are choosing it for the product rather than the bonus. No Apple Pay, but PayPal and Paysafecard are supported. LeoVegas review.
Betway Casino
Betway's strength is a single, polished app for sports and casino with one balance. Payments are debit card only, which keeps things simple but slower, with withdrawals typically one to three working days. The welcome offer is 150 free spins after a £10 stake. Betway review.
bet365 Casino
bet365 runs a separate casino app on the same account as its sportsbook. The main reason to install it is the wager-free welcome: up to 500 spins released over 20 days, so an app with reminders is genuinely useful here. E-wallet payouts are among the fastest in the UK. bet365 Casino review.
888casino
If you mostly play live dealer games on a phone, 888casino's app and its 300+ live tables, including 888-branded ones, are the pick. The welcome bonus is a 100% match to £100 with 10x wagering on the bonus, and slots count 100% while table games contribute little or nothing. 888casino review.
PlayOJO and MrQ
Both operators are built around a single promise: no wagering on anything, and both apps are light and quick. PlayOJO adds OJOplus cashback on every bet; MrQ is the one to pick if withdrawal speed matters most, with many payouts landing within hours. Both take Apple Pay and Pay by Bank. Sky Vegas, Virgin Games and Paddy Power Games
These three are the best apps for people who like daily free-to-play extras. Sky Vegas's Prize Machine, Virgin's Red Hot Rewards and Paddy Power's Daily Jackpots all run inside the app, and each welcome offer is wager-free spins. Virgin Games stands out on payouts, with Visa Direct withdrawals arriving in around four hours. Sky Vegas review · Virgin Games review · Paddy Power Games review.
How we tested the apps
We installed each app on a current iPhone and a mid-range Android phone, logged in with biometrics, deposited the minimum, played ten minutes of slots and ten minutes of live roulette on 4G, then requested a withdrawal to the same card. We noted crashes, how many taps the deposit limit page took to reach, whether promotional notifications could be switched off separately, and when the withdrawal arrived. Apps that lost the live stream when the phone locked, or that buried safer-gambling tools more than two taps deep, did not make the list.
iOS versus Android
Feature parity is now close. The differences that remain: Apple Pay is iOS-only, so Android users at the same operator rely on Google Pay (BetMGM, Betfred, Virgin Games) or Pay by Bank; some Android apps still update outside Google Play at smaller operators, which we treat as a mark against them; and iOS apps tend to receive new live-game formats a few weeks earlier. None of the operators above restricts bonuses by platform.
Common problems and fixes
- App will not install or says "not available in your region". Your store account must be set to the UK and you must be physically in Great Britain; most UK operators exclude Northern Ireland from some offers and a few block it entirely.
- Withdrawal pending for days. Nearly always an identity check on the first cash-out. Upload your documents in the app before you win, not after.
- Live stream stuttering. Drop the stream quality in the table settings or switch from mobile data to Wi-Fi; HD live tables use around 1 GB an hour.
- Lost access after self-exclusion. Self-exclusion through GAMSTOP applies across every UK operator and cannot be reversed early. That is by design.
Before you install
- Set a deposit limit in the app on day one. It is quicker to lower a limit than to raise one, by design.
- Turn off promotional notifications and keep account notifications on.
- Verify your identity straight away so the first withdrawal is not held for documents.
- Run the welcome offer through the bonus calculator if it is a match bonus rather than wager-free spins.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an app, or is the mobile site enough?
The mobile site is enough for most people. An app adds Face ID login, push notifications you can control, and sometimes smoother live-dealer streams. It does not change the games, the odds or the bonus terms.
Are casino apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play in the UK?
Yes. Both stores allow real-money gambling apps from UKGC-licensed operators in the UK. If an app asks you to sideload an APK or install from an outside link, it is not a licensed UK operator.
Can I use Apple Pay in casino apps?
At most of the operators below, yes: PlayOJO, BetMGM UK, MrQ, Paddy Power Games, Sky Vegas, Betfred, Virgin Games, Grosvenor and Coral all list Apple Pay. Withdrawals go back to the underlying debit card, not to Apple Pay itself.
Do casino apps have different bonuses?
Rarely. The welcome offer is the same in the app and on the website, and under UKGC rules it cannot carry more than 10x wagering on bonus funds. A few operators run app-only free spins or prize draws; check the promotions tab.
