Best Online Blackjack Sites UK (2026): 3:2 Tables, Live Dealers and Basic Strategy

Blackjack has the lowest house edge in the casino if you play the right table correctly. These UK sites offer 3:2 payouts, sensible rules and enough live seats, and here is how to tell a good table from a bad one.

By BonusVault EditorialCasino Lists

Blackjack rewards players who pay attention to rules. A 3:2 payout, dealer standing on soft 17, double after split and late surrender together keep the house edge near 0.5% with basic strategy. Change one of those, especially 6:5 on blackjack, and the edge roughly triples. So this list is as much about which tables to sit at as which sites to use.

What to check on the table, not the site

  • Blackjack pays 3:2. It is printed on the felt. If it says 6:5, leave: on a £10 bet you lose £3 on every natural.
  • Dealer stands on soft 17 (S17). H17 tables add about 0.2% to the edge.
  • Double after split and re-splitting allowed; surrender is a bonus.
  • Number of decks. Fewer is better, but online almost everything is six or eight decks; the payout and S17 rules matter more.
  • Side bets are optional. Perfect Pairs, 21+3 and Bet Behind carry 3–10% edges. They are entertainment, not strategy.
  • Infinite Blackjack (unlimited seats, everyone plays the same hand) often pays 3:2 with S17 and is a good low-minimum choice, but check its Six Card Charlie and split rules.

Basic strategy in one minute

Basic strategy is the mathematically best play for every hand against every dealer up-card, and it is legal to use a chart online. The core of it: always split aces and eights, never split tens or fives; double 11 against anything but an ace, double 10 against 2–9; stand on hard 17 and above; against a dealer 2–6, stand on hard 12–16 (hit 12 against 2 or 3); against 7 or higher, hit until 17; hit soft 17 and below, double soft 13–18 against weak dealer cards. Print a chart for the exact rules of your table. It cuts the edge to about 0.5%; guessing costs two to four times that.

Blackjack variants you will see online

  • Classic live blackjack. Seven seats, eight decks, 3:2, usually S17 with double after split. The benchmark.
  • Infinite Blackjack. Unlimited players share one hand and make their own decisions. Low minimums, 3:2 payouts and the Six Card Charlie rule; a strong choice for beginners.
  • Free Bet Blackjack. Free doubles on 9, 10 and 11 and free splits except tens, paid for by a dealer 22 pushing all live bets. The edge is close to classic if you follow its own strategy chart, worse if you play classic strategy.
  • Power Blackjack. Double, triple or quadruple down with nines and tens removed from the shoe. Higher variance; needs its own chart.
  • Speed and Lightning Blackjack. Faster rounds, or random multipliers paid for by a fee on each bet. Fun, higher edge.
  • RNG blackjack. Instant deals from £0.50 or less, often with single-deck and surrender versions. The best place to practise.

Live or RNG for blackjack?

If the rules match, so does the house edge. Live tables deal 50 to 70 hands an hour and let you see the shoe; RNG games deal 300 or more and shuffle every hand. For learning basic strategy, RNG at £0.50 a hand is the cheaper classroom. For a session that feels like a casino, live tables are the point. Whichever you choose, the payout printed on the felt is the first thing to check.

The sites in detail

888casino

The largest live blackjack lobby in the UK group, with 888-exclusive Evolution tables that open more seats at peak times and generally run lower minimums than the shared network. The welcome bonus is a 100% match to £100 at 10x wagering on slots; blackjack contributes little, so decide separately. 888casino review.

Unibet Casino

With 400+ live tables across four studios, Unibet is the site where you will find a free seat at 3 am, plus Infinite Blackjack for low-stakes play. Its welcome offer is slots spins, irrelevant here. Unibet review.

LeoVegas

The cleanest mobile live-blackjack interface, with a timer that gives you enough room to consult a strategy chart. Playtech and Evolution tables sit side by side, which is useful for comparing rules. LeoVegas review.

Grosvenor Casino

Grosvenor's branded live tables follow rules close to its land-based casinos, and Play Points earned online can be used in venues. A natural home for players who also visit in person. Grosvenor review.

bet365 Casino and Betfred Casino

Both run strong Playtech live lobbies alongside Evolution. bet365's exclusive tables and very fast e-wallet payouts make it the pick for sports bettors; Betfred's Comp Points accrue on every hand and convert to cash. bet365 review · Betfred review.

Casumo

A broad RNG blackjack range, including single-deck and surrender variants, makes Casumo a good place to practise strategy at £0.50 a hand before moving to live tables. Casumo review.

Bankroll and limits

Blackjack's low edge still means losing sessions are common. Keep stakes to 1–2% of your session budget per hand, set a deposit limit in your account, and never raise stakes to recover a loss. Basic strategy minimises the cost of playing; it does not make the game profitable.

Frequently asked questions

What is the house edge in online blackjack?

Around 0.5% on a standard 3:2 table with basic strategy. A 6:5 blackjack payout adds roughly 1.4%, and side bets carry edges of 3–10%, so table rules matter more than which casino you choose.

Is live blackjack better than RNG blackjack?

The odds are similar if the rules are the same. Live tables use real cards and a dealer on camera, play slower and have higher minimums. RNG blackjack starts at around £0.50 and deals instantly, which is better for practising basic strategy.

Does blackjack count towards bonus wagering?

Usually 0–10%, and many UK operators exclude it. Welcome offers at most sites are slots spins anyway, so judge a blackjack site on its tables, not its bonus.

Is card counting possible online?

Not usefully. RNG games shuffle every hand, and live tables use multi-deck shoes cut deep and reshuffled frequently. Basic strategy is the only edge-reducing tool that works online.
